Keep your hot tub water exceptionally clean and polished with the Jacuzzi® ProClarity™ Depth Loading Filter #6473-161. This genuine OEM disposable filter is an important part of the Jacuzzi® ProClarity™ filtration system and is designed to capture ultra-fine contaminants that can pass through a traditional pleated hot tub filter.

Unlike a conventional pleated filter that primarily captures debris on its surface, the ProClarity™ depth-loading filter absorbs and traps fine particles throughout the filter media. This additional stage of filtration helps remove oils, organic material, dead skin, bacteria and other microscopic contaminants from your spa water.

Important: This is a disposable depth-loading filter. It cannot be cleaned or reused and should be replaced every 3–4 months.

What Makes a ProClarity™ Filter Different?

Traditional pleated hot tub filters are surface-loading filters. As water passes through the filter, contaminants and debris are primarily captured on the surface of the pleated media.

The Jacuzzi® ProClarity™ filter uses depth-loading filtration. Instead of simply trapping debris on its outer surface, the filter media captures fine contaminants throughout the depth of the material.

This helps remove smaller particles and organic contaminants that may otherwise remain suspended in your hot tub water, providing an additional level of water filtration.

The result is cleaner, clearer and more polished spa water.

 

⚠️ Do Not Clean This Filter

The 6473-161 ProClarity™ filter is disposable and should never be sprayed out, rinsed, or soaked in filter cleaner.

Because the filter media absorbs contaminants throughout its depth, attempting to clean it can damage the material and cause the filter to deteriorate.

For proper filtration and water flow, replace the filter approximately every 3–4 months.

 

How to Install the Jacuzzi® 6473-161 ProClarity™ Filter

When installing your replacement filter:

1. Remove the existing ProClarity™ depth-loading filter from its canister.
2. Insert the new 6473-161 filter with the solid side facing upward.
3. Make sure the filter is properly seated over the plumbing connection with the grate positioned underneath.
4. Reassemble the filter canister and return it to its proper position in the filtration system.

The ProClarity™ filter operates on the spa’s continuous circulation filtration system rather than the therapy jet filtration circuit.
